Lenovo has announced the arrival of the K6 Note, which is a successor to their well known Lenovo K5 Note. It doesn't bring many changes, but is it worth to be called a successor? Let us find out the difference between Lenovo K5 Note and Lenovo K6 Note here.

Since two models have the same sized display, their measurements must also be the same. However, we can't say much about it as the measurements are not out yet. Comparing the designs, these two models appear to be similar and look practically indistinguishable.

Both the Lenovo K5 Note and K6 Note include a 1080p, 5.5-in, IPS LCD, offering excellent viewing angles, vibrant colors and a high sharpness a pixel density of 401ppi.

Lenovo K5 Note derives its power from the MediaTek Helio P10 chipset (4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4×1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 alongside Mali-T860MP2 GPU); with 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM - depending upon the model. The smartphones are furnished with 32 GB of expandable internal memory but uses the second SIM slot for a microSD.

Lenovo K6 Note highlights Snapdragon 430 chipset (Octa-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 in blend with Adreno 505 GPU) alongside 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of expandable internal storage.

The Lenovo K5 Note is outfitted with a 13 MP (f/2.2) back camera which is capable of recording 1080p videos @30fps. The front camera is 5MP.
Lenovo K6 Note includes a marginally better 16 MP camera, likewise fit for recording 1080p@30fps video. The front camera is of 8MP.

Lenovo K5 Note is outfitted with a 3500mAh battery, which ought to last up to two days on a single charge on normal usage. The K6 Note has an enhanced limit, a 4000 mAh battery which puts it a step ahead of the K6 Note.

Both of these models highlight a fingerprint sensor.

Talking about the operating system, the Note K5 features Android v5.1, while the K6 has Android v6.0.

A marginally greater battery, a similar display, a better camera, and a newer version of Android can be popular reasons to go for the new K6 model. The competition in the mid-range segment is getting tougher, and Lenovo, by gearing up its Note model, seems to be making a firm stand.
