Latest rumors hinted that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might be launched in early 2017. Reports touted that the upcoming device will sport few excellent specs like Kaby Lake chipset, PixelSense display panel, efficient battery, and much more.

iDigital Times reported that the Surface Pro 5 is expected to feature Intel's latest processing unit which is the new Kaby Lake chipset. Reports hinted that the new processor is expected to provide the Microsoft device users with a 25 percent performance boost along with added battery efficiency and high-resolution video panel.

On the other hand, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will sport a 12.3-inch PixelSense display along with 2K and 4K screen resolutions. Apart from the Kaby Lake processor and enhanced display panel, the fifth installment of the Surface Pro device will consist of different RAM capacities ranging from 8 GB up to 16 GB.

Furthermore, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to feature improved battery life as compared to its predecessors with battery backup of approximately 7 hours, reported Tech Times. Besides, the Surface Pro 5 might feature enhanced stylus and also provide standard connectivity options like USB Type-C support, and Wi-Fi.

In terms of software specs, the upcoming Microsoft device is expected to feature the Windows 10 Redstone 2 operating system. The new installment of the Windows OS is touted to be released in 2017 just before the Surface Pro 5 launch and thus will be pre-loaded in the new Microsoft laptop.

Rumors also hinted that the Surface Pro 5 base model is anticipated to be listed with a price tag of $899. Also, the 4K UHD variant is expected to be made available for a high price of $1,599, according to the rumors.

However, there is no official confirmation on the rumored specs, features, and release date of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
