The latest Android 7.0 Nougat update rollout on the LG G5 smartphone is touted to have made it the first device to receive the update. Reports claimed that the technology giant has initially rolled out the Android update for its LG G5 phones in South Korea, while the handsets in Asia, the US, and the UK markets are expected to receive it in few weeks' time.
The LG Android Nougat update has reportedly brought many exceptional features to the G5 users' disposal like the Google Assistant, Instant Apps, and much more. Express reported that the latest installment of the Android OS will enable its users to run two apps side-by-side. It will also provide the smartphone users with a better battery life and improved encryption for personal data.
Furthermore, it will provide the LG G5 users with the support for Google's Daydream virtual reality platform. This update will thus enable the developers to build many new apps for the Android users, which will provide them with exceptional immersive VR experience.
Besides, the LG Android update with the ability to create different app shortcuts and launcher icons on their device's home screen similar to the recently launched Pixel phones. The Nougat operating system update will provide the LG G5 users with a restart button in the power menu. Also, it will offer support for image keyboards as well, which will allow the smartphone users to insert various stickers and GIFs into different applications of their choice.
On the other hand, another South Korean technology giant Samsung recently stated that the Android Nougat operating system beta program will soon be rolled out for the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge users. Besides, LG's new V20 is the first new smartphone other than Google's new Pixel and Pixel XL devices that have been launched with the pre-installed version of Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
