The latest NBA rumors hinted that the Los Angeles Lakers and the Washington Wizards deal might happen before the trade deadline. Reports claimed that the Lakers are eyeing the Wizards' point guard John Wall to further enhance their roster amidst the good start in the current season.

Morning News USA reported that the Los Angeles Lakers want to improve their position and provide tough competition against the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference by bringing Wall onto their roster. Wall is expected provide the Lakers with excellent offensive skills.

It is also rumored that Wall will be teamed up with shooting guard Nick Young and small forward Brandon Ingram in order to assure their entry into the playoffs this season. In order to seal the deal with the Washington Wizards, it is stated that the Los Angeles Lakers might give away their power forward Julius Randle and point guard D'Angelo Russell in exchange for Wall.

Nevertheless, few reports suggested that even if the Los Angeles Lakers are successful in bringing in Wall into their team, they might not choose to trade Randle and Russell as they are key players in their core lineup. Also, it is rumored that if the Los Angeles Lakers will become one of the top contenders for the NBA league title with the presence of Wall, Randle, Russell, and Young.

On the other hand, CBS Local Washington stated that even the Washington Wizards are keen on trading John Wall because of his rift with the team's shooting guard Bradley Beal. Adding Randle and Russell onto their team is expected to provide the Wizards with excellent defensive and offensive skills, which will help them to provide a tough competition to other teams in the NBA league.
