It is rumored that the Washington Wizards and the Minnesota Timberwolves will soon make a deal before the February trade deadline. Reports suggested that the Wizards are expected to trade their point guard John Wall in order to bring in the Timberwolves' Ricky Rubio.
According to the latest speculations, the Washington Wizards are planning to rebuild their roster owing to the poor performance in the current NBA season. The NBA trade rumors hinted that the Wizards might bring in Rubio on their roster in order to become one of the top contenders in the Eastern Conference.
Adding Rubio is expected to provide the Washington Wizards with excellent shooting skills, which will help them to put up high scores on the board in the current season. Furthermore, the proposed trade deal hinted that Washington Wizards will also receive point guard Kris Dunn and center Gorgui Dieng along with Rubio from the Minnesota Timberwolves. This is expected to help the Wizards to improve their ranking in the Eastern Conference.
In order to seal the deal with the Timberwolves, few reports suggested that the Wizards might also agree to send few future 2017 NBA draft picks along with Wall.
On the other hand, even the Minnesota Timberwolves is expected to agree and ink a deal with the Washington Wizards as the team is planning to bring in veteran player onboard. Adding John Wall onto their roster is expected to help the Timberwolves to improve their offensive skills in the frontcourt and thus, put up high scores on the board.
It is also stated that Wall might be teamed up with Timberwolves' shooting guard Andrew Wiggins, center Karl-Anthony Towns and point guard Zach LaVine, which will help them to become one of the strongest teams in the Western Conference.
