The latest NBA trade rumors suggested that the Los Angeles Lakers might indulge in a three-team deal with the Sacramento Kings and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Reports suggested that the Lakers will receive Kings' small forward Rudy Gay in exchange for Luol Deng, who will be sent to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Sports Rageous reported that the Lakers are planning to rebuild their roster in order to maintain their dominance in the Western Conference. Reports suggested that they might trade Deng as a part of the deal because of his current inconsistent performance in the current season.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves' head coach Tom Thibodeau is keen on bringing Deng onto his roster. Furthermore, adding Deng onto their roster is expected to help the Timberwolves to enhance their defensive and offensive skills, which will help them to put up high scores on the board.

It is stated that the Los Angeles Lakers might bank upon this opportunity to trade Deng and bring in another talented player in his place. According to the trade rumors, the Lakers might bring in Kings' Gay, who is currently on the trading block. This is expected to help the Los Angeles Lakers to improve their defensive gameplay and thus, provide a tough competition to other teams in the NBA league.

On the other hand, the Sacramento Kings are also rumored to benefit from the three-team-trade deal as they will receive Minnesota Timberwolves' point guard Ricky Rubio. It is stated that Gay is expected to exercise his player option to become a free agent and hence, trading him is in the best interest of the team.

Adding Rubio will help the Sacramento Kings' improve their shooting skills, and thus, put up high scores on the board in the current NBA season. However, as of now, none of the teams have officially commented on the rumored trade scenario involving Rudy Gay, Luol Deng, and Ricky Rubio.
