Even after the start of the new NBA season, the Boston Celtics are touted to be not done with upgrading their roster. Reports claimed that the Celtics might enter a trade deal with the Philadelphia 76ers in order to sign up their power forward Nerlens Noel.

Sports Rageous reported that the Boston Celtics are trying to rebuild their team, and are looking forward to adding 76ers' Nerlens Noel onto their roster. Reports claimed that the Noel is all set to become a free agent after the current NBA season, and hence, the Celtics might try to bring him in before that to free some space in their frontcourt and improve their frontcourt skills.

The NBA trade rumors suggested that Nerlens Noel will provide the team with excellent defensive and rebounding skills, which is expected to help the Celtics enhance their gameplay. It is also stated that the Celtics are eyeing Noel-Al Horford pairing in their frontcourt, which will help them to become one of the strong contenders in the NBA league.

In order to seal the deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Celtics might give away their point guard Marcus Smart in exchange for Nerlens Noel.

On the other hand, even the 76ers are touted to be planning to sign off Noel before the trade deadline. According to the reports, the team passed on giving Noel a contract extension this year, which has indicated his departure.

Adding Smart onto their roster is expected to help the 76ers enhance their frontcourt gameplay. The 22-year-old player is rumored to provide the team with excellent offensive skills, which will help them to put up high scores on the board in the NBA season.

However, none of the teams have officially commented on the rumored trade scenario as of now. Keep posted here for more updates and NBA trade rumors on Nerlens Noel, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Boston Celtics.
