Netflix hit series "Narcos" has been renewed for Season 3 and 4 earlier this year. Many fans wondered what will happen to the show after the series documented the rise and fall of Pablo Escobar in the last two seasons.

To recall, Netflix announced on September that "Narcos" will return for at least two more seasons. The announcement comes only few days after the streaming network released all ten episodes of Season 2.

"Narcos"Season 3 is expected to be released next year and some of the new and old cast members have been announced already. Moreover, producer Eric Newman has revealed that there will be a lot of new cast members.

According to The Independent, Kerry Bishe has joined the cast as Christina, an American who is married to a Colombian involved with the drug business. Other new actors joining "Narcos" Season 3 cast are Michael Stahl-David, who appeared in the award-winning miniseries "Show Me a Hero," along with Matt Whelan. Both actors will play DEA agents in Colombia.

Moreover, a photo posted by Narcos' official Twitter page confirmed that DEA agent Javier Pena, played by Pedro Pascal, will be returning in Season 3.

However, Pena's partner agent Steve Murphy may not come back. Boyd Holbrook, who also narrated the show for the first two seasons.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Holbrook was asked about his future with the show especially that it was renewed for another two more seasons.

"We're still working it out. Steve didn't retire from the DEA until, I believe, two years ago. He was very active in the DEA for a long time so I'll leave that up to you to find out," Holbrook said. "If nothing, I think this show has an incredible opportunity now because Pablo's not around, but that's the really interesting thing."

"He was delivering drugs straight to Miami, personally. And once he died, the Cali Cartel who took over his power was like: "Screw this, let's just give it to Mexico and let Mexico deal with it and get it across the border." And that's the evolution of El Chapo and things like that. There's a really great opportunity for this show to have, and that's always been the plan for [executive producer] Eric Newman - it's called Narcos, it's not called Pablo Escobar," the actor added.

"Narcos" Season 3 is expected to hit Netflix by August or September 2017.
