The hype for the next batch of Pokémon is still going strong, and more fans are excited to see what's in store for them in the upcoming Generation Two update for augmented reality mobile game "Pokémon GO."
Despite having no sure dates for Generation Two, fans have been talking about some of the exciting things that await them, including new Pokémon, new mechanics, and more! Here are some of the things we may expect from the new update.
New Legendaries
Okay, sure, the Generation One Legendary Pokémon, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and Mewtwo, are not even out yet, but now we have to wait for five more Legendary Pokémon, Legendary Beasts Raikou, Entei and Suicune, and Tower Duo Lugia and Ho-Oh.
Niantic Labs has just launched its first ever event for Halloween, so a Legendary event can't be too far away, right? In the meantime, the wait for the Legendaries continues.
Tyranitar
Tired of your Dragonite, Snorlax and Lapras? Well, make way for the great Tyranitar! This bipedal dinosaurian Pokémon boasts a whopping 3600 CP, according to Pokémon GO Hub, and is sure to be a huge contender in the game once Generation Two is out.
Pre-Evolutions
Generation Two introduced us to pre-evolutions of some of the first generation Pokémon, and it is interesting how Niantic will incorporate them in the mobile game. Here are some cute pre-evolution critters to watch out for:
Pichu - Pikachu
Igglybuff - Jigglypuff
Cleffa - Clefairy
Elekid - Electabuzz
Magby - Magmar
Smoochum - Jynx
Tyrogue - Hitmonlee / Hitmonchan / Hitmontop
The Mysterious Unown
Of course, who would forget the mysterious Pokémon Unown? With 28 different types of Unown to uncover, there is a lot of possible gimmicks that Niantic can come up with this.
So When IS Gen Two Coming Out?
The short answers is, we don't know yet.
In fact, no one knows for sure, probably not even Niantic themselves. But with the developer kicking its events into high gear, we might expect a couple of regular events and updates before we can expect new Pokémon to arrive. An early 2017 prediction sounds about right. In the meantime, get hyped for a possible Christmas event in December. Santa Snorlax, anyone?
Stay tuned for more "Pokémon GO" updates.
