With the NBA season around the corner, the latest trade rumors hinted that the Philadelphia 76ers will soon make their move to further improve their roster by bringing it the Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Tyus Jones in exchange for their center Nerlens Noel.
Morning News USA reported that the Minnesota Timberwolves are looking forward to trading their 2015 Draft pick this season before the trade deadline as they already have a strong frontcourt guard lineup comprising of point guard Ricky Rubio and Kris Dunn.
According to certain trade rumors, the Philadelphia 76ers is also in the process of vacating their overcrowded frontcourt, which has hinted towards Noel's departure from the team. It is stated that adding Jones onto their roster will help the 76ers solve their backcourt rotation issues. Also, Jones is expected to be teamed up with center Jahlil Okafor, as their deadly combination is expected to help the team to become one of the strong contenders in the NBA league.
Jones has an average of 19.4 points per game, 6.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game, which is touted to provide the Philadelphia 76ers to put up high scores on the board in the upcoming season.
On the other hand, the trade rumors hinted that the deal will also prove beneficial for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Adding Noel to their roster is expected to help the team to enhance their perimeter shooting skills and thus provide a tough competition to other teams in the league.
However, none of the teams have officially commented on the rumored trade scenario involving Nerlens Noel and Tyus Jones. So, as of now, these trade rumors should be taken with a grain of salt.
