The "Pokémon GO" craze continues despite news of its dwindling number of users. In fact, latest reports claimed that Niantic Labs will give players more Pokémon candy than usual this Halloween season.
Niantic Labs recently announced that there will be additional treats to celebrate the Halloween season. Starting Oct. 26 until Nov. 1, players can double the amount of candies they earned by catching, hatching and transferring Pokémon back to Professor Willow.
Players can also use the Buddy feature in the augmented reality game for them to earn a Pokémon Candy four times faster than normal.
The software development company also teased that the quantity of spooky Pokémon spawning could increase from Oct. 26 to Nov. 1. It includes Haunter, Ghastly, Gengar, Golbat, Zubat, Drowzee and Hypno.
"Trick-or-Treat, Trainers! It's Halloween season and we have a treat for you!," Niantic Labs said in a statement. "If you encounter more spooky Pokémon than normal, don't be startled, they want to enjoy the fun too. Scare up some friends, grab your buddy and enjoy this spooky, fun celebration with us. Happy Halloween!"
Aside from the much-awaited Halloween event, a "Pokémon GO" update version 0.43.3 is reportedly rolling out for Android devices. Here's what players can expect via Android Police:
