Fans of "Vikings" rejoiced as History network renewed the show for Season 5 with 20 episodes. Many are also excited for former WWE Superstar Edge, Adam Copeland, on a recurring role and and Golden Globe Award winner Jonathan Rhys Myers joining in the hit history-action drama series.

Before the upcoming fifth episode of the History drama, its season four premiere for the second half will reportedly focus on the story away from Ragnar and towards his son, Ivar, the Boneless and infamous Vikings of all time.

Moreover, Lagertha is also reportedly going to get a lot of political power and revenge. Lagertha will seize every opportunity to make a political play for Kattegat, which has become fill of unrest with Ragnar's advanced age. This will also provide her with perfect opportunity to exact revenge on Aslaug, who destroyed her beloved family long time ago.

As cited by at Coming Soon, series creator and writer Michael Hirst teases on the magnitude of the second half of season 4. According to him, "This season is monumental and unlike anything we've ever done."

"We've propelled 'Vikings' to the topmost level of historical drama as we follow storylines inspired by real life events such as Bjorn Ironside sailing through the Mediterranean and Ivar the Boneless becoming the most feared warrior of all time. It's not a story of one man, but a saga of Ragnar and his sons," he added.

In addition, the season 5 of "Vikings" is currently in production in Ireland and Golden Globe Award winner Jonathan Rhys Myers (The Tudors) joins the cast. Moreover, Adam Copeland is set to play the role of Ketill Flatnose, a fierce and brave warrior chosen by Floki to be one of the leaders of the Viking party.

"Vikings" will return on History this November 30 at 9 p.m. EST, while Season 5 is reported to be slated for release on 2017.
