After going completely silent, rumors and speculations have already started for "Resident Evil 2 Remake" once again. This time, contrary to the previous hearsay, "Resident Evil 2 Remake" will be revealed at the upcoming PlayStation Experience this year.
Before, fans have speculated that "Resident Evil 2 Remake" will be revealed early or even mid 2017.It would seem like things are getting more interesting because we've got quite an assurance of the upcoming game from the developers.
Masochika Kawata, the person behind "Resident Evil 2 Remake," made a statement through an interview with Yugatech regarding the development stage of the game.
"There's a separate producer for RE Remake 2, who is hard at work right now. All that we can say is we hope that we'd have information to share soon. Creating the original Outbreak was a huge task for Capcom. It was a unique game with online and other elements like that."
"In order to make a successor to that, it would require a lot of planning from Capcom to get it right. However, we're also always listening to what fans want, so that can be the impetus for us to making a successor for that title." he added.
While the statement is pretty vague, this is still more than enough to warrant an anticipation. It's almost more than two years now since Capcom confirmed that the company is working on a proper remake that they had to "politely" ask the fanmade remake to be canceled.
From a report from PlayStation Blog, gamers are now aware that Capcom will be sticking with the event for the Capcom Cup finals. While the main reason for the publisher hanging out is the "Street Fighter V" tourney, the show may still reveal a couple of new games for the PlayStation 4 and Capcom could be a part of it.
However, it be would make more sense that "Resident Evil 2 Remake" will be announced later after "Resident Evil 7" gets released. This way, neither titles would kill the potential hype and sale.
Stay tuned for more "Resident Evil 2 Remake" news and update.
