The Samsung Galaxy S3 is slated for a May 29, 2012 release in Europe, so the big thought on the mind of many Galaxy S2 owners is whether they should stick to their old horse or dump it and get the new one.

We're putting our money on the Galaxy S3 and here's why. Check out our top ten reasons for upgrading from your Galaxy S2 to bigger and better things i.e. Galaxy S3.

Bigger Display

Bigger is better they say, so if that is the case, then the Galaxy S3 4.8-inch display should have you excited enough to make you jump. Your Galaxy S2 only has a 4.3-inch display, and while it is close to 4.8-inches, there's no Super AMOLED HD tech here.

Faster processor

The year 2011 was the year dual core phones took center stage. Now in 2012, dual core smartphones are slowly being replaced with quad core superphones like the Samsung Galaxy S3. The device is rocking a 1.4GHz quad core Exynos CPU, while Galaxy S2 can only manage a Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU. It's like comparing a Ferrari to an Oldsmobile.

S-Voice

Samsung's answer to Apple's Siri is S-Voice, a voice recognition software that allows you to talk to your phone. By saying "wake up", the Galaxy S3 will exit sleep mode, and if you want to turn up the volume, just command it to do so. It's pretty slick in action. Hopefully it works just as well in the real world. Galaxy S2 doesn't get that.

Smart Stay

While there is a slight chance Galaxy S2 owners might get S-Voice in an update, Smart Stay will be exclusive to the Galaxy S3.

What is it you ask? Smart Stay uses the 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera to track your eyes. This feature tells the phone if you're looking at the display which allows it to automatically make the choice to either brighten the display, dim it, or turn it off all together.

S-Beam

This has all to do with NFC. It works a lot like Android Beam where users can tap two phones together to share files. S-Beam share files over WiFi, cellular network, or Bluetooth. According to Samsung, users can share a 1GB movie file in just 3 minutes, while a 10MB music file will only take 2 seconds.

Wireless Charging

First seen with the Palm Pre then every other webOS device after. Gladly, wireless charging has made its way to the Galaxy S3, we only hope Samsung doesn't follow Palm into the grave.

Better Camera Features

The Galaxy S3 and the S2 both have an 8-megapixel camera. However, the Galaxy S3 brings more features to the table such as the ability to capture stills while shooting a HD video, stills Burst Mode that shoots 3.3fps up to a maximum of 20 frames, and Buddy Photo Share (which unfortunately we think is a terrible name).

Direct Call

If you have a contact on your screen and you feel compelled to make a call, there's no need to tap the call button. Just put the phone near your face and the call will go through.

Pop up Play

We've seen Pop up Play kind of feature before via the app called Stick It, so we're not that impressed. However, this is a feature built in and it works better than the Stick It. If you are watching a video and would like to keep watching that video while you take a visit to mobilenapps, just hit the Pop up Play button and the video will shrink to draggable thumbnail on your screen. Cool, isn't it?

Better Battery

Finally, better battery. We all love better battery life, and the Samsung Galaxy S3 won't disappoint with its 2100mAH size battery. With LTE and that gigantic display, this battery will make using the device a joy.
