The sequel almost took forever, but the wait is almost over as "Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III" is releasing sooner than fans have imagined.

The upcoming sequel for the real time strategy game from Relic Entertainment "Dawn of War III" just got a release date. After an extremely long development, the official website, as reported by numerous gaming sites like Kotaku. finally reveals that the game is schedule to be out on April 30 2017.

However, going directly to the link that the news sites have provided didn't show anything about the game coming out on April 30, 2017. This could have been a mistake or something that SEGA had to adjust on. The only upcoming games that may show or will show are "Yakuza 0," "Motorsport Manager," "Football Manager 2017" and "Footbal Manager Touch 2017."

Still, if news are to be believed, the game's release date is still a bit odd. April 30 is a Sunday, which isn't a day where games are normally released. This is the case with almost every videogame, digital or not.

What this date could possibly entail is a placeholder figure rather than an actual date. The game could be released somewhere earlier in April instead, but more importantly, it will be around that month. Even the official website of "Dawn of War" is not showing any sort of release date, making this assumption something to be still taken as a grain of salt.

For those excited to get the game soon, it would be best not to bet on such figures, especially without any real number coming up on the official website. Instead, for those who haven't seen the gameplay, the first one can be watched below.

Stay tuned as we await for further updates for "Dawn of War III."
