Samsung boasts of its powerful phablets Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J7 2016. However, which is the better option between the two? Here is a quick comparison.
The Galaxy J7 2016 features a 5.5-inch super AMOLED display that supports a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels at 267 ppi. The J7 Prime has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 401 ppi. The former has a faux metal back and comes with a brushed effect, while the latter has a metal body with two slim flat antenna bars at the top and underside of the rear part of the phone.
It is common for smartphones to be released in two or more variants. The Galaxy J7 2016 has been released in two forms, as follows:
There is a quad-core Cortex A53 chip clocked at 1.6GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 chip clocked at 1GHz or an octa-core Cortex A53 chip clocked at 1.6GHz variant with graphics card options of Adreno 405 or MaliT830MP2.
Both devices are released with an internal storage of 16GB which could be enlarged up to 256 GB, which means there will be plenty of space to store files and media; it also makes sense since the camera records videos and pictures with higher resolutions which occupy more space.
Both smartphones have a main camera of 13MP that features autofocus, LED flash memory, geotagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama. When it comes to the secondary one, the Galaxy J7 2016 has a poorer quality that supports a 5mp resolution, outperformed by the 8mp snapper of the Prime variant.
A 3300 mAh battery powers both handsets. It must be kept in mind that the Samsung Galaxy J7 comes with a removable battery, while the J7 Prime has a fixed, non-removable one.
