The latest NBA trade rumors hinted that the Los Angeles Clippers might choose to reshuffle their roster near the February's trade deadlines. Reports claimed that as a part of the process, the Clippers might trade their point guard Chris Paul and power forward Blake Griffin to their rumored destination team, the Boston Celtics.

Sports Rageous reported that both Paul and Griffin are expected to hit the free agency after the 2016-17 NBA season. This is stated to have paved way for the trade rumors that the Clippers might try to find a perfect deal for both the players in exchange for other talented players.

Rumors hinted that with the Paul and Griffin trade, the Los Angeles Clippers will purportedly try to avoid the Kevin Durant situation that was faced by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the offseason.

Besides, the NBA trade rumors have surfaced because of Paul statement that hinted his disappointment in not getting very far in the NBA Playoffs. It is speculated that he is looking forward to joining a stronger team, which will provide him with the chance to win a championship. "Unfortunately for me, I've had 11 summers of going into the summer knowing what it's like not to win a championship," said Paul, as reported by ESPN.

On the other hand, should the Boston Celtics agree to swap Paul and Griffin before the February deadline, it is stated that both the players will help the team to improve their frontcourt gameplay in the next NBA season.

According to the ESPN trade machine, the Celtics might give up their point guard Avery Bradley and power forward Amir Johnson to seal the deal with the Clippers in exchange for Paul and Griffin. However, few reports stated that the rumored trade might not happen as the Celtics will have to shell out their core players to ink the deal.

Also, none of the teams has officially confirmed about the possible trade scenario. So, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt.
