While fans are waiting for "Train to Busan 2" after the first movie's huge success, another railway zombie apocalypse film entitled "Seoul Station" is slated for international release.
The one-and-a-half-hour "Seoul Station" will premiere in Singapore on September 29 before its release in other countries.
To recall, the prequel to the blockbuster film "Train to Busan" was released in August 18 at Korean local theatres drawing nearly 860,000 viewers on its first day.
Voiced by actors Ryu Seung-ryong, Shim Eun-kyung, and Lee Joon, the "Train to Busan" prequel has been screened at various international film festivals. The movie was produced from 2014 to early 2015 and premiered at a Brussels festival in April.
The South Korean animated zombie film was also shown at the 2016 Edinburgh Film Festival. Reports now claimed that the prequel to the live-action film, "Train to Busan," will be slated for international release.
The story revolves around a zombie break-out that started among the homeless living in Seoul Station. The outbreak soon engulfed the whole city and the government declaring a lockout of the whole area. In this chaos, an ex-prostitute and her boyfriend, along with her father, tried to escape hoping to find each other safely.
Meanwhile, sources claimed that "Train To Busan 2" is already in the works as well.
Although, nothing has been officially announce for "Train to Busan" there's already potential ideas for a "Train to Busan" 2 plot and casts.
Gong Yoo previously shared his thoughts for a sequel revealing he suggested director Yeon Sang Ho a continuation of his character or Ma Dong Seok's zombie character.
Moreover, a report said that "Train to Busan 2" might start its production in 2017. Meanwhile, France and the U.S. are also reportedly interested to do a remake of the zombie apocalypse thriller film.
