With the NBA training camps around the corner, the latest trade rumors hinted that the Sacramento Kings and the Los Angeles Lakers might ink a deal but not involving the purported power forward DeMarcus Cousins. Reports claimed that the trade between the two teams might involve Kings small forward Rudy Gay with Lakers shooting guard Nick Young and point guard Lou Williams.
Sports Rageous reported that the Kings might trade Gay before the start of the season as he recently expressed his desire to move out of the team and become an unrestricted free agent next summer. It is stated that the Gay has been disappointed with the team's backcourt issues and has decided to drop out.
As a result, the trade rumors indicated that the Kings are looking out for Gay's perfect replacement option before the start of the new NBA season as they will not get anything in return after he becomes a free agent.
According to the trade scenario on ESPN trade machine, the Sacramento Kings trading Gay with the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Young and Williams is reported to work for both the teams as it will help them improve their roster and gear up for the new season. It is stated that the two Lakers players will help the Kings to accommodate their need for guards in the court arena and thus put up high scores on the board.
As far as the Lakers are concerned, it is stated that Gay will provide the team with excellent offensive skills and thus help them to win a number of matches in the upcoming season.
However, none of the teams have officially confirmed about the possible Gay, Young and Williams trade scenario. So, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt as of now.
