The latest NBA trade rumors hinted that the Toronto Raptors might enter a deal with the Boston Celtics before the start of the training camps next month. The Raptors are reportedly eyeing the Celtics power forward Kelly Olynyk to improve their roster before the start of the new season.
Chatt Sports Net reported that the Raptors might bring in Olynyk in order to fill the void created by the departure of their former power forward Bismack Biyombo to Orlando Magic for a four-year $72 million deal. Reports claimed that the 25-year-old player will provide the Raptors with excellent on-court offensive skills, which is expected to help them win a number of matches in the upcoming NBA season.
It is stated that Olynyk averaged 10 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists last season, which has led to further speculations that he might prove as the best perfect fit for the Toronto Raptors. According to the trade rumors, the Raptors might team up Olynyk with center Jonas Valanciunas in order to improve their frontcourt gameplay.
On the other hand, even the Boston Celtics are reportedly keen on finding a perfect deal for Kelly Olynyk before the season begins. CSNNE reported that Olynyk's inconsistent performance due to his injuries and low defensive skills is rumored to have prompted that Celtics to put him on the trading block.
Meanwhile, according to another set of NBA trade rumors, the Toronto Raptors might also think of bringing in the Philadelphia 76ers' Nerlens Noel onto their roster. CSNPhilly reported that even the 76ers might consider the possibility of trading Noel to the Raptors in order to balance their roster. It is stated that currently, the 76ers are in need of either a point guard or shooting guard in exchange for Noel.
According to the latest trade rumors, the Raptors might send their point guard Cory Joseph and shooting guard Norman Powell to seal the deal with the 76ers for Noel. However, none of the teams have officially confirmed any detail about the possible trade scenario.
