At the time of writing, fans only have roughly a month and exactly 32 days for "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" to finally be released. Would there be any changes to this?

As exactly shown on the official website, "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" teases an October 7, 2016 release date. A lot of fans are excited with the game's launch, which was actually sooner than the initial expected date around late October and close to Halloween.

Some fans' discussions in a number of threads from FnaF subreddit, however, are still skeptical with the release date being final.

"Five Nights at Freddy's 4" was the last FnaF game that contained the same core mechanics of the game and just like with "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location," it was teased a couple of times before its release date.

"FNaF 4" did get a lot of teasers as well and one final trailer on July 13, 2015. Surprisingly, even with the highly rumored release date of August 8, 2015, which was the series' anniversary, the game got released earlier on July 23 instead.

Fans were surprised with the change of the "planned" release date for "Five Nights at Freddy's 4," but there's a bit of worry from some that "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" may also change, but not to make it earlier.

It would be worth to note though that up until now, now official word or any hint of change with the release date on October 7 for "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" and it is unlikely that Scott Games will let fans down with an uncalled for push-back or a later release.

What fans may expect would be some additional DLC that was first introduced with "Five Nights at Freddy's 4," which was the Halloween Update. It was released on October 30, 2015. This is not to be confused with the base FnaF 4's release date on July.

"Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" may also get a DLC given the pattern shown in the previous game. For now, fans look forward to the initial release date to finally get their hands on the series' first spin-off without going through the original game mechanics.
