There have been a lot of rumors and speculation revolving around the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3, but Samsung has kept its flagship Android phone well under wraps. The new phone is expected to launch on May 3 in London, but the company now seems to have joined the hype and speculation ahead of the big unveiling.

Ahead of the May 3 event, Samsung launched a new teaser page, indicating some big news on April 23. The teaser site is called tgeltaayehxnx.com, which is actually an anagram for "The Next Galaxy." If this anagram is any indication, the new device might not even be called Samsung Galaxy S3. Invitations for the May 3 event in London simply read: "Come and meet the new galaxy."

The source code for the Samsung teaser page includes the "galaxy" bit. However, as Slashgear points out, the source code of the teaser site also includes an image file titled "startup-retina.png." Such findings raise even more questions instead of providing some answers, further increasing anticipation ahead of Samsung's announcement.

The Clock is Ticking

What Samsung is planning to debut/announce on April 23 did not remain a mystery for long. People visiting tgeltaayehxnx.com on Monday are being redirected to a YouTube page with the following teaser video titled "Unpacked 2012" and the opening lines "Truly smart technology becomes a natural part of life":

The video is a part of marketing campaign for the 'Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2012' event scheduled for May 3 in London.

In January last year, Samsung had released a similar video teasing the February 2011 unveiling of its Galaxy S2.

Alleged leaks and speculation have intensified recently, and the Samsung Galaxy S3 even appeared on Amazon Germany, in a seemingly accidental listing.

Smartphone, Tablet, or Cloud Storage? Or Perhaps All three?

Meanwhile, according to several reports, Samsung may have a lot more than a phone to offer. A Cnet report, for instance, indicates that Samsung may also be introducing a new tablet at the May 3 event. Cnet cited sources familiar with the matter, who said Samsung will show off a 10.1-inch tablet. Cnet's source, however, offered no further details, so it is not sure whether we will see a brand new tablet, an enhanced version of an existing tablet or just a re-skinned version of Galaxy Tab 2.

Another possibility for Samsung's big unveiling includes a cloud storage service, potentially called "S-Cloud." Earlier this year, Samsung announced it was working on an upgrade for its AllShare service, and the upgrade would include a cloud-based storage service. According to Slashgear, Samsung is working with Microsoft on this service, and could incorporate Microsoft's SkyDrive. The cloud service is expected to offer at least 5GB of online storage for music, video, photos and other files, as well as some sort of video-on-demand content.
