The popular graphics card manufacturer does something that no other big name company does and it was to create a mod for Bethesda's "Fallout 4."
Watch the video below to see a sneak peak of how it will look like and be sure to select the 1080p to see the difference between the vanilla "Fallout 4" and Nvidia's mod.
As evident in the video, the mod "Vault 1080" has visuals that look far better than the original "Fallout 4." There are tons of graphical enhancements from different people all over the internet, especially ones coming from Nexus Mods, but Nvidia's still stand out pretty well.
The "Vault 1080" was developed specifically by Nvidia LightSpeed Studios, which happens to be the internal team that works on a couple of remasters for PC and Android games. Most of their work are on Nvidia Shield platform titles.
As "Vault 1080"s visual stand out in the game, the developers of the mod mention that it will be one of the mod's highlights into making the mod and the quest that comes with it feel like a unique experience for "Fallout 4" players.
What can be noticed in the mod is the highly-enhanced volumetric lighting, which makes the god rays a lot better looking as well as the shadows looking more realistic.
New weapon debris and materials also are also included in the game.
Here's an excerpt from the official mod creator's description:
"It's certainly taken its toll on its occupants. They've become a congregation that embraces the darkness and sickness, and they've done it - so they believe - to survive. They're not the friendliest bunch. But is the whole thing built on lies? The truth is deep within Vault 1080, through a whole lot of fearful mystery. Find it and decide for yourself whether the monsters deserve their salvation... or not."
Nvidia's "Vault 1080" is scheduled to be released in the upcoming PAX West, which is this Friday, September 2.
