The latest rumors about the AMD Radeon RX 490 suggested that the new graphics card might feature Vega architecture, making the GPU more powerful compared to the earlier installment.

iSports Times reported that AMD is planning to include the Vega 10 architecture in order to cater to customer's daily and professional graphics requirements and thus provide them with an immersive Virtual Reality experience.

To add on to the AMD Radeon RX 490 architecture rumors, even AMD Radeon Sr. Marketing Director Chris Hook posted a picture on his official Twitter account and said that the shattered warehouse portrayed in the picture will be the Vega launch venue.

Apart from the Vega 10 rumors, Video Cardz reported that the AMD Radeon RX 490 will sport a computing power of 9,830 GFLOPS with a base clock of 1200 MHz. Also, the graphics card is expected to consist of 16384 MB memory along with a thermal power of 200 W.

Moreover, the Radeon RX 490 is expected to be specifically designed for 4K or VR gaming and will provide the gamers with more advanced graphics performance. Rumor hinted that the AMD's new graphics card might pose as a fierce competition its arch-rival NVidia's GPU unit codenamed as GTX 1080.

Meanwhile, as far as the release date rumors are concerned, reports claimed that AMD's new graphics card Radeon RX490 might be launched by the end of the year probably in November 2016. Conversely, few reports claimed that should the graphics card include the Vega architecture, its release might get delayed to 2017, which is the speculated release date of Vega 10.

However, no official confirmation has been given by AMD till date. As of now, the information about the release date and specs should still be taken with a grain of salt.
