Rockstar Games and Take-Two are extremely quiet about their upcoming games like "GTA 6." However, rumors and collected information points to a possible announcement of the game this year and to be released on 2018?

Over the weekend, Neurogadget reported that Take-Two once commented about Rockstar working on a few project. This was confirmed with this year's fiscal report, but there were no specifics. Nobody was sure whether it would be "GTA 6," "Red Dead Redemption 2," a DLC to already existing games or a new game altogether.

Regardless of the uncertainty, rumors are still firm with GTA 6 getting revealed this year or early next year. Gamescom is already ruled out. There's a tiny bit chance that the game may be hinted in the upcoming PlayStation event next month. Especially Rockstar's habit of not announcing games on events.

The PlayStation event is most likely going to be where the PlayStation 4.5 Neo, PlayStation 4 Slim or both, will be announced. The Neo garnered enough leaks and rumors that made the information almost believable now while the PlayStation 4 slim just got a huge leak that even has a footage of it booting.

Speculations say that "GTA 6" may be set somewhere fans are very familiar with. This could be Vice City. Some see a London setting while others think that the next game will be set in Tokyo.

On the same report, according to what rumors indicate, the game may follow the same release date gaps in-between games in the GTA series. This is the 4 or 5 years gap between iterations and if Rockstar does stick with this schedule, a 2017 reveal or release may actually happen.

Another rumor suggests that "GTA 6" will support VR and this could be true somehow given the variety of games we're all seeing now like "Resident Evil 7" and a number of indie games.

Stay tuned for more updates about "GTA 6" as we wait for any official announcement or information.
