With the NBA season drawing closer, certain rumors hinted that one of the major trades that might shake up the whole Eastern Conference will involve the Cleveland Cavaliers as they might enter a deal with the New York Knicks.

The Bit Bag reported that the Cavaliers will possibly trade their power forward Kevin Love in exchange for the Knicks' Carmelo Anthony. Reports claimed that the move to swap Love for Anthony is on the Cavalier's top priority list as it will help them provide a tough competition to the Golden State Warriors

Furthermore, it is stated that the Cavaliers star player LeBron James is also trying to bring in one of his closest friends Anthony to further improve their frontcourt gameplay. The NBA trade rumors suggested that Anthony, along with James and Kyrie Irving, will form a powerful combo which will help the Cavaliers to maintain their supremacy in the NBA league.

However, Syracuse Coach Jim Boeheim recently stated that the New York Knicks forward might not win an NBA title in his entire career. "He's unlikely to win an NBA title," said Boeheim, as reported by Sports Illustrated. "He's never been on a team that even had a remote chance of winning an NBA title. As a player, all you can do is to and make your team better, and every team he's been on he's made them a lot better."

There is no confirmation on whether the New York Knicks are ready to swap Anthony for Kevin Love or not.

In addition, it is stated that the Knicks might team up Love with two of their versatile players, Kristaps Porzingis and Joakim Noah, to bring in the needed flexibility on the frontcourt, reported Fox Sports.
