A major update for first-person shooter "Killing Floor 2" has now gone live, adding a slew of new features and goodies.
According to PC Gamer, Tripwire Interactive has now brought the new update to the game, adding new weapons, a brand new map and new achievements and loyalty rewards.
The S.W.A.T. Perk brings a whole new range of guns including FN P90, MP7, MP5RAS, and Kriss Vector submachineguns.
A new flashbang grenade will also be introduced, which is less on firepower and more on stunning the Zeds so players can move in for the kill. Tactical knives are also added in case things get a little more crowded.
New armor variants will also be included in the game as loyalty rewards, including elite variants of the Horzine Security Armor, as well as Horzine 9mm pistol skins.
Curiously, a new suit of armor made out of ZedEx boxes, dubbed Cardboard Knight, is now available via a new cosmetic bundle. Check it out here.
A new map called Infernal Realm will also be made available today. According to the "Killing Floor 2" website, this map was originally a community map which is now turned into an official map in the game.
As for existing content, Tripwire has also made a few tweaks to some of the perks in the game, but the Firebug, Support and Medic got the most tweaks to make the skills more balanced.
Not to be left behind, the Zeds themselves also had a few adjustments on their own, with their resistances, movements and evasion revised to make the game more challenging.
On the economical side of things, drop rates are also improved in the game, and Tripwire said that players will now get items more often. New USB's and crates were also added to the game.
The latest update is available for free for all players. "Killing Floor 2" is still in early access, and will end in November 18, after which it will be available for everyone else.
