Just a few more days before "NBA 2K17" is released on consoles and on PC, fans are already reacting to some player stats and abilities that might not exactly reflect their real-life players. Is Stephen Curry one of them?
Max Resetar of Slam Online reported that Stephen Curry happens to get an unfair advantage in "NBA 2K17." The report stated that Senior Producer Rob Jones told Slam Online that their aim is to make their virtual players play and feel like their real-life counterparts.
Differentiating which players are better than the others is something that they had been working on and it seemed a bit off based on the gameplay experience that Resetar got from the short demo he played.
In the demo, the gameplay indicated that layups won't be as a work in the park like it was before. Timing will be just as important on layups like they are with jumpshots and free throws. Once players figure out the way these types of shots are done with the right stick, controlling Curry will be a breeze.
In the the demo game, it easily showed that Stephen Curry had unrealistic speed that somehow amplifies the actual player himself. Curry had been outrunning every player in the game including his teammates. Guarding him may not be as easy as with the majority of players.
Resetar and Jones tried to see how their players would size up. According to the end result, it didn't even end up as close game. Not even with Jones controlling Carmelo Anthony.
Some fans may find these stats a good representation while other may be a bit disappointed at how "NBA 2k17" and its players are recreated.
For some, Curry isn't even faster than Rose or is not that fast in general, but it may not be a surprise for anybody if he gets to be the most abused player in the game due to his inhuman abilities. More "NBA 2K17" news and updates in the coming days.
