According to the latest NBA trade rumors, the Denver Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried is on the Brooklyn Nets top priority as they want to further improve their roster. Still, reports claimed that whether the Nuggets will ink a deal with the Nets or not remains unknown as the latter team does not have sufficient tradeable assets in exchange for Faried.
Sports Rageous reported that the Nets are rumoredly planning to bring in the Nuggets' 26-year-old power forward in order to form a power trio consisting of Faried, center player Brook Lopez, and point guard Jeremy Lin. It is stated the Nets want to improve their frontcourt by adding big shot players starting with Faried at the power forward position.
Furthermore, reports claimed that with Faried, Lopez, and Lin on their side, the Nets are expected to be one of the best teams in the NBA Eastern Conference league. Faried has an average of 12.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game last season, which will further help the Nets to score more points in the new season.
It is also touted that Faried's deal will not overburden the Nets on the financial side as he is expected to make just over $12 million this NBA season. There are reports that the Nets currently have about $17 million in cap space, which they are expected to utilize in the potential acquisition of Greg Monroe and Kenneth Faried.
However, the trade rumors hinted that the Brooklyn Nets do not have many tradeable assets on their roster. This is rumored to make the Denver Nuggets rethink before giving a green signal to the Faried trade.
Even though the Nuggets are keen on trading Faried this NBA season, they are reported to be eyeing a perfect player in exchange for their power forward, reportedly slimming down the chances of the Nets acquiring him this season.
