The major areas in which the Surface Pro 4 excels over the Apple device are the processor specs, operating system, connectivity features, and storage capacity.

To start with, the Microsoft tablet consists of superior hardware configurations like a Skylake processor with 16 GB RAM with 512 GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the Apple iPad Pro sports an A9X chipset with 4 GB RAM and 25g GB internal storage, way lower than the former.

Furthermore, the Microsoft device has a 12.3-inch screen with 2736 x 1824 pixel resolution, whereas the iPad Pro consists of a 9.7-inch screen and 1536 × 2048 pixel resolution. In terms of software specs, the Surface Pro 4 runs Windows 10 operating system with all the features available in both the tablet and PC mode. On the other hand, the iPad Pro features the iOS 9.3, which is the OS for the mobile devices.

The Surface Pro 4 features a 5-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front camera which are comparatively lower than the iPad Pro's 5-megapixel 720p HD front and a 12-megapixel 4K HD rear camera.
