Fans have seen a lot of "Battlefield 1" gameplay these past few weeks, and we were treated a couple of hours footage of gameplay on some maps from the game. Still, fans haven't seen nothing yet if they missed the weather system that developers discussed recently.

Gamespot reported before that weather, as well as the staple environment destruction feature, will be incorporated in the game. DICE puts an emphasis to the dynamic weather and is intent to make it more than just an aesthetic addition to the already beautiful game.

DICE recently made a developer update log regarding the said feature and the team is bringing some changes into it. Fog now affects snipers' visibility and will make hunting harder. This will change the flow of battle as players will have to resort to close-range combat or even to melee.

Rain also affects the combat by slightly distorting the vision of unmounted players, but those who pilot planes will experience more difficulty. Rain makes it harder to detect enemies and pilots have to swoop closer to the ground, which makes the riskier.

Fans are yet to see anything about sandstorms, but it was a feature included with other DICE games like "Medal of Honor: Warfighter," so they could also expect a similar scenario.

Dynamic weather also isn't purely random and still follows the realism on real-life scenarios like how it could be foggier in the trench wars and with western front experiencing more heavy rains. Weather will drastically change the way the battle is flowing anytime on a multiplayer session and this will put players to an added layer of challenge.

Combined with the classic World War 1 warfare, "Battlefield 1" makes the multiplayer experience one step ahead from its predecessors with fully destructible landscapes and ever-changing weather.

Fans are going to see more of this on the upcoming beta that launches on August 31. Be sure to stay tuned for more updates about "Battlefield 1."
