Tecno's pioneering imaging technologies that would be the new face of smartphone photography in 2025 were announced at Future Lens 2024, an event held in Chongqing, China.

Headlining these announcements is the Tecno Imaging Matrix (TIM), an enhanced four-stage image processing system. What's so special about these upgrades?

Tecno's Imaging Matrix (TIM)

According to GSM Arena, TIM starts with the hardware foundation layer, which integrates fundamental elements such as camera hardware, sensor, chipset, and display. This layer gathers raw data and feeds it into the de-construction layer, which breaks down the information through ten elemental imaging algorithms.

The engine re-construction layer uses an AI-powered engine running on the Tecno Algorithm Process Stack, or TAPS. It then finally feeds the data into the application layer for enhanced mobile imaging functions intended for real-world use cases.

EVS Dynamic Snapshot: Capturing Motion Like Never Before

One of Tecno's major hardware breakthroughs is the EVS Dynamic Snapshot technology, which combines an innovative event-based vision sensor with a conventional CMOS camera sensor.

Unlike traditional sensors that capture pixels frame by frame, the EVS sensor focuses on capturing motion data dynamically. This is then merged with still images and color details from the CMOS sensor, resulting in perfectly focused photographs, even of fast-moving subjects.

Whether you're shooting a soccer game or wildlife in motion, EVS will give you a sharp and detailed action shot previously challenging for smartphone cameras.

Tap Any Zoom Dual Prism Telephoto: Precision Right in Your Hands

There is also Tecno's Tap Any Zoom Dual Prism Telephoto sensor with dual-periscope module support. It has the most advanced lens-shifting capacities, optical image stabilization support, and a proprietary algorithm for taking long-distance photographs as well as videos.

Users can simply double-tap an object on the viewfinder, and the periscope lens automatically adjusts its zoom and framing to focus on that object. This technology also supports image stitching, allowing users to have larger, distortion-free image frames compared to traditional telephoto lenses.

Capturing a landscape or distant details will be much easier with the Tap Any Zoom sensor's precision.

Tecno's Premium Smartphones

Tecno has indeed finalized plans to release a flagship 2025 model using those groundbreaking camera technologies.

According to Techno, their next-generation processing powers in cooperation with EVS Dynamic Snapshot's motion-oriented accuracy will be combined with the Tap Any Zoom sensor for unbeaten versatility, helping Tecno set new mobile photography milestones.

Meanwhile, Apple dropped the iOS 18.2 with ChatGPT integration. With this update, Siri became smarter thanks to advanced AI features.

With this, you can create images with the AI assistant using ChatGPT. Apart from that, you can switch off Permission prompts to streamline your interactions. Additionally, drafting original text is now smoother than before.

All these things are achievable with no OpenAI account, but if you want extra features to access, then subscribing to ChatGPT Plus should be your next move. It should be noted that ChatGPt is turned off by default which means you have the power to activate it or not. This is a smart move by Apple to boost your privacy against outsiders.
