Apple has released the second public betas not only for iOS 18.2 but also for both iPadOS 18.2 and macOS Sequoia 15.2. This means that early testers can now test them before the official rollout.
For public beta testers, these can be accessed via the Settings app by signing up for Apple's public beta program. Other betas can be found for watchOS 11.2, tvOS 18.2, and HomePod software.
What's New in iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS Sequoia 15.2?
Image Playground: Redefining Creativity
According to MacRumors, Image Playground is, without a doubt, one of the many jewels in the app: a new image-generating app that returns images based on descriptions.
From creating costumes with which to dress up or illustrating characters inspired by close friends and family, there's no lack of limits. It previews every bit added with a history feature for effortless edits.
Image Playground is also integrated with apps like Messages, Notes, and Freeform, which gives it some flexibility across platforms. However, image handling is for animation and illustration-style works, rather than photorealism.
Genmoji: Emoji Made Just for You
Apple launched Genmoji, customizable emoji characters made from phrases or descriptions. The app accesses the data from your Photos library so you can make emojis of friends and family members. Genmoji is available now in iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2, but it will be coming to macOS Sequoia soon.
Siri Meets ChatGPT
Siri's capabilities are getting a significant boost with ChatGPT integration. If Siri can't answer a query, it will forward the request to ChatGPT (with user permission). ChatGPT can create text and images without requiring an account, ensuring privacy.
Visual Intelligence: Your Camera Just Got Improved
iOS 18.2 introduces Visual Intelligence, a feature that utilizes your camera to read and analyze your surroundings. Point it at a restaurant to receive reviews or point it at an object to search for information. Other features include: Text-to-speech, copying text from images, detecting phone numbers, and summarizing content.
Advanced Writing Tools
Combining the writing tools present in iOS 18.1, and iOS 18.2 enables customization of tone and style. For example, a formal email can be converted into a poem, or action words can be added to the content.
Extended Localization
English dialects are now supported through Apple Intelligence tools in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Ireland, and the UK, in addition to U.S. English.

Getting Access to New Features
Users testing Apple Intelligence will automatically get access to Writing Tools, Visual Intelligence, and ChatGPT. Genmoji and Image Playground require joining a waitlist via the apps. When it is ready, notifications confirm when these features become live.
When Will Official Updates Drop?
Public betas are available for all compatible devices, but Apple Intelligence tools require hardware support. Official Updates for iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, macOS Sequoia 15.2, and others should come in early December.
Outside AI-related improvements, here are the other improvements you can use soon on your iPhone.
Some of them include Find My's "Share Item Location," Volume slider, Require Screen on camera toggle, and more.
