Pokemon GO loves surprising global trainers with brand-new events featuring Pokemon that are not yet available in the game. Niantic dropped a sweet bomb after introducing Dynamax Drilbur for the upcoming Simply Groundbreaking event which will take place next week.

Below, we're giving you the lowdown on the event, wild encounters, bonuses, and more for the rest of the Max Out Season.

Simply Groundbreaking Event Summary

GameRant knows that some PoGo players could get bored easily when perusing long-form information regarding new events. To simplify, here's the summary of what is coming to the Pokemon neighborhood soon.

Start: Friday, November 15, 10:00 a.m. local time
End: Sunday, November 17, 8:00 p.m. local time

Dynamax Drilbur in one-star Max Battles

During this event, the Ground-type Drilbur will appear in one-star Max Battles, where trainers have the opportunity to catch it in its Dynamax form. Caught Drilbur can then be Dynamaxed, as well as its evolution, the mighty Ground/Steel-type Excadrill.

Event Bonuses and Rewards

From level 31, trainers of Pokémon Go will have a chance, 2x more, of receiving Candy XL when catching Pokémon. New Field Research missions will come with a quest to encounter Drilbur and receive valuable items like Drilbur Candy and Candy XL—a necessary item for Drilbur's evolution into Excadrill.

Wild Encounters Throughout the Event

This will result in a spawn rate of 11 Pokemon to be higher, including Jigglypuff, Diglett, and Kricketot, and some of them will also appear shiny. Here is a list of all Pokemon that will spawn more often in the wild:

  • Diglett and Alolan Diglett
  • Whismur
  • Jigglypuff
  • Kricketot
  • Rhyhorn
  • Phanpy
  • Noibat
  • Woobat
  • Drilbur
  • Excadrill

Trainers will now meet shiny forms of these Pokemon in the wild, which will add extra excitement for the collectors who want to complete their shiny Pokedex.

New Field Research Tasks

New Field Research tasks for Simply Groundbreaking will include rewards tied to Drilbur: encounters and items. The rewards are Drilbur Encounter Drilbur Candy XL, and Drilbur Candy so that training it into Excadrill becomes easier on the trainers. Increased spawn rates allow for easier completion of the tasks to acquire the resources.
