Samsung is about to officially roll out the most awaited Galaxy S25 series by next year. The company will reportedly come up with three models. In previous reports, it was said that the Plus variant would ditch the Exynos 2500, but recent reports refute it.

The official release date is a few months from now, but Geekbench listings recently gave fans an idea of what to look forward to in the specs of the Galaxy S25+. These initial marks appear to be indicative of major hardware aspects, at least around the processor, in anticipation of becoming a talkative point among fans worldwide from Samsung.

Galaxy S25+ Prototype Surfaces on Geekbench

The Samsung device has recently been leaked on Geekbench - it is probably the Galaxy S25+ prototype tested on this benchmarking platform. Gadgets 360 reports that the upcoming handset carries the model number SM-S936B and scored 2,359 in the single-core while the multi-core score recorded 8,141.

Furthermore, the listing shows that the device equips 10.72 GB of RAM, which would probably be rounded to 12 GB in the final product. It also confirms running Android 15, the operating system most expected to add more perfection to user experiences with enhanced performance and improved security features.

Exynos 2500 Might Fuel the Galaxy S25 +

The Geekbench listing shows that the Galaxy S25+ could be powered by a new ten-core chipset, which will have a unique 1+2+5+2 core architecture, suggesting that Samsung might use its in-house Exynos 2500 processor.

From the benchmark details, the processor has a primary CPU core clocked at 3.30GHz, two cores at 2.75GHz, five cores at 2.36GHz, and an additional two cores at 1.80GHz. This design is high-performance power efficient, which makes it perfect for multitasking and demanding applications.

But the performance of the Exynos 2500 doesn't seem to match that of Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. For comparison, the US model of the Galaxy S25 Ultra came with Snapdragon 8 Elite (model SM-S938U), which scored higher in Geekbench: 3,069 points in single-core and 9,080 in multi-core.

As powerful as the Exynos 2500 may be, it seems it is slightly behind in terms of sheer performance, and it can be inferred that Samsung is taking a regional approach to its processor distribution.

Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC: Samsung's Global Choice?

There are lots of speculations about the processors that Samsung will be using for the Galaxy S25 series. The brand has been changing between its in-house Exynos chips and Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors over the last couple of years, depending on the market.

For the Galaxy S24 series, it used Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processors in some regions and the Exynos 2400 in others. However, in 2023, Samsung did something drastic by deploying Snapdragon processors in all of its Galaxy S series phones, probably with a view to responding to public calls for consistency in performance.

It has already been rumored that the Galaxy S25 series will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite throughout the whole lineup, this time as Samsung apparently decided to favor the Snapdragon edition on both extremes: in Europe as the European Exynos would be well below the par expected and possibly less efficient Snapdragon-based unit, and maybe not quite good enough if it is indeed marketed as the US versions and in the region to take advantage of Snapdragon's goodwill there as well.

What Does the Galaxy S25 series Offer For the Users?

The Galaxy S25 series is going to promise a lot better hardware and software changes, especially since it makes use of Android 15 as the operating system.

Advanced AI features, superior camera quality, and much processing for handling complex jobs would be delivered without time delay. Samsung has remained the benchmark for many premium performances for years, so its Galaxy S25 series would be trying to beat those standards.

This series brings together updated technology and user-centered design for the most enthusiastic tech enthusiasts and loyal Samsung users. Powered by either Exynos or Snapdragon, Galaxy S25 models are going to be a great experience, meeting the requirements for both productivity and entertainment.

The whole Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup promises to be a notable release with powerful specs and the latest Android OS. With leaks suggesting that there may be variants both of Exynos and Snapdragon, it seems the tech giant is well-prepared to provide region-specific performance tailoring.

Although the Exynos 2500 would differ in scores compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, that depends on what Samsung wants, so it would decide the kind of variant it needs for different users.

Even for the official launch event of the flagship lineup, what Samsung fans can look forward to will certainly be a mix of faster efficiency merged with the latest advancement of technology.

Certainly, more surprises are on the way, including Samsung's rumored Galaxy S25 Slim which could be the rival for the rumored iPhone 17 Slim of Apple.
