There was much hype among people regarding a leaked roster of Pokémon Unite in 2024. According to the claims, there are still Pokémon that were supposed to be released with the game but just missed the cut.

The most controversial among them is Golisopod whose ability in mainline Pokemon games has intrigued the fans. Well, the case might be different from the mobile game since various mechanics are showcased. Regarding the leaked roster, here's what you need to know.

Leaked Roster: Missing Pokémon That Fans Are Talking About

Pokemon Unite players will go crazy once they learn that there are still unreleased Pokemon. A new leak reveals that four mons will come soon. Pokemon Unite/The Pokemon Company

According to Gaming on Phone, the leaked image depicted several unreleased Pokémon, a majority of which were expected in the initial lineup for Pokémon Unite.

So far, we already have the most popular monsters in the franchise including the official mascot Pikachu, and Nintendo's son (just like many Pokemon fans say) which is Charizard.

Regardless, it's an automatic expectation that these Pokemon would be debuting in Pokemon Unite, but the missing Pokémon has kept fans in curiosity and hope. Which Pokémon were left out and if they are included in future updates? That set off wild speculation concerning what's ahead for the game.

Major Unreleased Pokémon from the Leaked List

The same report tells us that four Pokemon will be gracefully entering the Unite universe soon. These are:

Froslass - Ice/Ghost Type: This is another favorite among Pokémon enthusiasts, which carries ice/ghost-type features that would make someone shiver with fear. Froslass is inherently excellent at its use of speed and status, making it a potent addition, especially in Pokémon Unite, for teams needing crowd control and disruption. Its influence over the game played is what makes it one of the most highly anticipated.

Golisopod (Bug/Water Type): Golisopod is a staggeringly balanced Pokémon, whose offense and defense are held together by this "Emergency Exit" ability. This Pokémon was the tanky type, which would allow the players to retreat and reform when health is scarce. Golisopod, as a mix of power and defense, would be exciting on a team that wanted strategic versatility.

Golduck (Water): The evolution of the fan-favorite Psyduck took many by storm. With so much possible utility in a range attacker and even utility in application, Golduck is sure to find its way onto many teams. If it disrupts the set plans of an opponent, it could be a difference-maker in the last battles, as their attacks are based on water.

Polteageist (Ghost Type) Its power to manipulate space is just the spice needed to add flavor to this Pokémon Unite environment, creating havoc on the battlefield. This tricky Pokémon would be a great character to play all in all because it can indeed manipulate the environment and limit those options that its foes would be able to put forth. Its potential to dominate objectives would be quite intriguing.

Pokemon Unite Fans Can't Get Over the Leaked Roster

The leaked rosters have sparked a lot of noise in the fans' camp since most are not satisfied with the omissions and are looking forward to the day when Pokémon such as Froslass and Golisopod appear in an update.

Other fans wonder if their absence is because of balancing issues at the time of development of these Pokémon, while others are still hopeful of them getting added later on. Players are getting excited, who all want to see where these Pokémon would fit into the rapidly changing meta of this game.

Will These Pokémon Enter the Game?

Pokémon Unite has just been releasing new characters such as Darkrai, Ceruledge, Armarouge, and Ho-oh. From this, it could be speculated that maybe Pokémon not yet included in the game could appear in future updates or even special events.

It is possible because some of them were not ready for launch and the availability of such characters could leave the game open to new strategies and dynamics, which fans appreciate.

Expect new challenges and team compositions since these should be part of the unreleased Pokémon. Who knows, there are still others excluded in the leaked lineup?
