The indie hit Vampire Survivors is a popular roguelike vampire-themed game under the Luca Galante and Poncle team. What if it's mixed and matched with another vampire game? Maybe it'll excite your bloodstream.
Latest news has it that this said title has a new collaboration with Konami's Castlevania series, promising its biggest DLC release yet. Vampire Survivors has continuously grown through free and paid DLC as well as collaborations with other popular franchises that have added unique elements to the experience.
The Evolution of Vampire Survivors Through Exciting DLC Releases
Continuous new content made Vampire Survivors successful in maintaining the audience's interest. DLA packs, as published earlier, such as Legacy of the Moonspell and Tides of Foscari, presented fresh, unique content. However, the newly published versions did the opposite thing in reverse - characters and things belonging to other cult franchises appeared, GameRant reports.
Just as Emergency Meeting brought Among Us, it brought in the playable Crewmates, arms, and adventure mode to the indie game. It went on to follow this with Operation Guns, which added the stuff from the Contra series, including the rapid-fire guns and grenades.
Vampire Survivors is next in line to have another high-profile crossover of a little-known indie game, but this time, it is going to be with the much-beloved Castlevania series of Konami.
Vampire Survivors and Castlevania: Never-Before-Seen Vampire-Tastic Crossover
The union makes sense - as if it was always meant to be. Vampire Survivors is finally teaming up with Castlevania in what's promised to be over 10 hours of new gameplay through the upcoming DLC, Ode to Castlevania.
According to Poncle, this is also its largest DLC to date. First off, a teaser trailer gives some glimpses into what the player can expect from the new content. Included are some of the franchise-defining bosses.

In addition to a massive new map to discover, Poncle hinted in its latest teaser at secret contents still to be unveiled to the players, including even the first vampire to finally perhaps make an appearance in the game. Thus, the cooperation will really bring out Castlevania's deep lore that with this and other class elements will really feel apt for Vampire Survivors.
What to Expect from the Ode to Castlevania DLC
Poncle confirmed that the Ode to Castlevania will be around 70-80% as big as the base Vampire Survivors game, as massive and expansive as possible. DLC will add 40 new weapons and 30 new music tracks, including classic Castlevania tunes made available in the game's music selector.
Players will also gain access to more than 20 new playable characters in Vampire Survivors, including Trevor and Simon Belmont, Alucard, among other icons from Castlevania's long history, says RockPaperShotGun.
The DLC is priced a little higher than the previous DLCs, as the amount of content is so vast.
Castlevania's Recent Collaborations
Although Castlevania has experienced a revival through partnerships with other games such as Dead by Daylight, V Rising, Dead Cells, and Astro Bot, the majority of the fan base remains patiently awaiting a new entry into the mainline series.
Notwithstanding, the year was notable for the release of the Castlevania Dominus Collection, which enabled gamers to revisit the particularly well-rated Nintendo DS entries on the current generation of hardware. A new game proper in the Castlevania series was not announced in the year, however.
The Vampire Survivors collaboration, and other more recent crossover appearances, keep Castlevania in the spotlight. Fans, however, still hold hope for this new entry in the franchise to be announced.
For now, fans of Vampire Survivors should look forward to the Ode to Castlevania DLC, promising the best of worlds of vampires and uncanny creatures. It's one hell of a ride if you want some horror and action in one plate.
