The new Galaxy S24 FE, two new tablets under the Galaxy Tab umbrella, including the Galaxy Tab S10+, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, and the Galaxy Watch FE LTE, are getting improvements. Samsung's play here? Bringing premium experiences to lower price points, enriched by AI.
Budget-Friendlier AI in the Galaxy S24 FE
The Galaxy FE is made for Samsung's most loyal customers - its "fans." Fan Edition devices have been designed to be cheaper than the top-range devices Samsung sells under the Galaxy S branding but with high performance and sound design.
PC Mag reports that this is the first Samsung mid-range smartphone installment to bundle Galaxy AI. It comes immediately with useful AI tools like Circle to Search, Interpreter, Live Translate, Chat Assist, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, and Browsing Assist.

Powered by the Exynos 2400e Chip
In a departure from tradition, Samsung will utilize the Exynos 2400e chip in all markets around the globe for the Galaxy S24 FE, including the USA, where Samsung traditionally utilizes Qualcomm Snapdragon chips in high-end handsets.
The Exynos 2400e is a slightly underclocked variant of the Exynos 2400 utilized within the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models. The only difference, however, is a 100MHz reduced clock speed of the prime CPU core, while all the other details are similar, including the fabrication process at 4nm.
To cool down this device during heavy usage and deliver better performance under stress, Samsung has also been upgraded with a 10% larger vapor chamber.
The Galaxy S24 FE will have its accompanying 8GB RAM, while the high-end one of the Galaxy S24 variants comes with 12GB. So, if you settle for the cheaper variant, you can bet on outstanding performance. Storage-wise, you'll have 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB options.
Bigger Screen, Bigger Battery
A huge difference in the Galaxy S24 FE is that it now packs an incredibly larger display. Sporting a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, it features Full HD+ resolution and variable 120Hz-rate screens with up to 1,900 nits peak brightness for clear pictures and quick performance.
The display features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+, the successor of the previous generation's Gorilla Glass 5. At the same time, thinner bezels give more screen real estate and extend the experience on the big new display.
According to Sam Mobile, the larger battery—the 4,700mAh one—is 200mAh bigger than the Galaxy S23 FE one. Wired fast charging is up to 25W, Qi wireless fast charging is up to 15W, and Wireless PowerShare is up to 4.5W, further simplifying everyday life.
Advanced Camera Features with Super HDR
However, the triple-camera setup on the Galaxy S24 FE remains no less impressive than on the Galaxy S23 FE. These include a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with three times optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
Video capability can record with 8K resolution at 30fps with the primary camera and all the others at 4K 60fps. Along with this feature, with the ProVisual Engine and Super HDR integrated, you may easily capture and share incredible photos and videos you would love to edit.
Seven Years of Android OS Updates
The most exciting feature of Galaxy S24 FE is the software's longevity. The device out of the box comes with Android 14 and Samsung's One UI 6.1.1, which promises seven major Android OS updates and security patches for the same duration.
