A new set of rumors have given new details on the specs that the Canon 5D Mark IV may offer. However, there has been a report which noted that it might have disappointed some filmmakers.

According to Canon Rumors, the new specs were noted based on the leaked images of the high-end camera from the Japanese multinational company.

Among the specs of the upcoming Canon 5D Mark IV are the following: 30.4mp, 7fps, Dual Pixel AF, 61 point AF (which is likely to be 41 crosstype), 150,000-pixel RGB + IR sensor, Anti-flicker, ISO 100-102400 (which means it will already have extended sensitivity), 24/30fps @ 4K, 60fps @ 1080, 120fps @ 720, 4:2:2 and 8bit 500mbps MJPEG.

In addition, the upgraded version of the Canon 5D Mark III will also boast a Touchscreen LCD, Dust and weathersealed, Still image capture from 4K video, Time-lapse movie, a built-in GPS, Wi-Fi capacity, NFC, storage using SD / SDHC / SDXC and CompactFlash Type II, and USB 3.0 and HDMI terminals.

In terms of size, rumors hinted that the Canon 5D Mark IV will have a dimension of 116.4Mm X 150.7Mm 75.9Mm and will weigh 890g (1.96lbs).

While the new camera is anticipated to be capable of capturing 4K videos, No Film School hinted that this might not be enough to impress.

The site pointed out: "since the sensor is 30MP, Canon has to either use a crop (the middle 4000 pixels), or pixel-bin to downscale the images into 4K resolution in realtime."

It was further explained that with the "processing limitations" of digital single lens reflex cameras, the output might be prone to "artifacts including moire and noise."
