Latest rumors have made the Canon 5D Mark IV one of the most talked about and highly-anticipated camera models among shutterbugs nowadays.
And there are a lot of reasons to think so.
Although its predecessor, the 5D Mark III, is considered by many as a workhorse in the industry, others think that the DSLR may have already reached its prime and needs to be replaced soon, according to Fstoppers.
The 5D Mark IV is therefore looked upon as the worthy successor, as Canon's loyal followers have been asking the company to come out with a unit that would cater to their growing needs.
According to the latest Canon 5D Mark IV rumors, the DSLR would have a resolution of 24 to 28 megapixels, as compared to the 18 MP of the original ID-X model.
Although there are speculations that unit's MP count could go up to as high as 30, this may be unlikely, as its users, particularly wedding photographers, may instead prefer better ISO performance.
There is also the possibility that the 5D Mark IV would retain most of the 1D-X Mark II's system, particularly its 61 AF points (41 cross-type), although there might be an improvement in its tracking abilities, as well as its sensitivity.
Moreover, there are also expectations that the camera would have a one-stop bump in native ISO range to 51,200, and incorporate other features such as anti-flicker technology, DIGIC 7 or 7+ processor, a "touch-to-focus" capability, as well as GPS and WI-FI.
In the meantime, recent Canon 5D Mark IV rumors also revealed that a few chosen photographers are now testing the latest model, which means that its hardware aspect has already been more or less finalized, according to Canon Rumors.
The tech site's sources hinted that the DSLR's video capabilities include Internal 4K and 120fps @ 1080p.
Although there is still no confirmation on whether the camera would include 4K @ 60fps, there is still a big chance that it would incorporate this important feature.
