After more than a year of silence from Overkill and 505 Games, "PAYDAY 2: Crimewave" is finally getting an update for PS4 and Xbox One. Was it worth the wait?
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners may get their love for heisting as the first actual update is coming in a few days time. There are no particulars as to what will be included in the update or if it would even match the updates provided on the PC, but it is a start nonetheless.
As shown in the official tweet above, 505 and Overkill already sent update contents to the respective platforms for testing and in due time, console gamers will finally get some new content to explore and enjoy with the best heist simulator that comes next to "GTA V."
While the update is already in the works, several console players and fans are still skeptical and somewhat still sulking over the fact that PC players get more updates. This is pretty evident with a discussion started by redditor bones7056.
Even the official tweet isn't getting that much of a warm reception with commenters getting all salty about the update. It shouldn't surprise anybody because Overkill once made a promise of an update with the prior "PAYDAY 2" update for the PS4 and Xbox 360, just to be cancelled afterwards
VG247 reported that "PAYDAY 3" is already in the works, but this won't prevent the players of "PAYDAY 2" from not getting any further updates as it will still receive additional contents at least until November 2017. Hopefully, it would be the same case for PS4 and Xbox One players.
Stay tuned as the update for "PAYDAY 2" unfolds.
