Microsoft has announced the minimum and recommended specs for the PC version of its upcoming third-person shooter title "Gears of War 4."

Speaking at Gamescom this year, Microsoft has revealed the game's minimum, recommended and ideal specs requirement in order to run the game smoothly. Apparently, "Gears of War 4" will be graphically demanding, even at lower resolutions.

According to Gamespot, "Gears of War 4" requires the anniversary update of Windows 10 to run. Once that is out of the way, a hefty 80GB worth of disk space is required to install the game.

Understandably, running the game in glorious 4K will be demanding the highest-end graphics cards like GeForce GTX 1080 or Radeon R9 Fury X, as well as a high-end processor like AMD FX and Intel Core i7, according to Endgadget.

Running "Gears of War 4" in all its 4K glory may burn a gigantic hole in your wallet, but it may very well be money well spent. Take a look at the footage below, which was captured on a PC decked out with a GTX 1080 and see for yourself.

Last month, technical director Mike Rayner told Digital Foundry that "Gears of War 4" will be supporting 4K, and aims to make the game highly customizable and optimized on the PC.
