New spoilers for "Fairy Tail" chapter 498 suggests that Irene Belserion, the strongest woman of the Spriggan 12, will order Neinhart to assassinate Erza Scarlet.

Early "Fairy Tail" chapter 498 spoilers are now out courtesy of Fairy Tail Wikia. It is said that the next chapter will begin with Neinhart informing Irene, who is now making an attempt to remove Fairy Heart from Mavis Vermilion, about the whereabouts of Ezra.

With that, Irene orders him to execute Erza. However, Neinhart does not have any desire to comply with the former's order, realizing that his Historia of the Dead, a Caster Magic that allows him to materialize the histories of his targets' past, will have no impact on the latter.

Regardless, it is predicted that the Scarlet Despair would induce Neinhart to kill the Titania himself, as she reminds him of his true identity. If Neinhart fails to complete the said mission, he will presumably confront the wrath of Irene, who is noted for having a consummate magnitude of power.

Hall of Fame Magazine suggests that Neinhart will then challenge Erza in a battle, to whom the latter accepts. Minerva and the rest of the team offer their help, but Erza declines.

Using her Heaven's Wheel Armor spatial magic, Erza, who is an S-Class Mage of the Fairy Tail Guild, slices the opponent in a delta formation. Knowing what may come next, the rest of the team move meters far from the battlefield.

Much to the surprise of everyone, Erza's attacks are impeded with Neinhart's blast of light. It is worth noting that the latter reportedly decided to use simple magic, knowing that his Historia will not do any harm on the former.

Larcade Dragneel, who boasts an unconquerable amount of Magic Power, ventures out and gripes to Neinhart about getting exhausted of their fight. He then attempts to assault Erza, but Sting Sting Eucliffe all of a sudden shows up and obstructs the former's magic.

The scene then shifts to the battle in the guild hall, where Natsu Dragneel and the rest of team were frozen solid by an arriving Invel Yura. Gray Fullbuster (aka The Ice Devil Slayer), moves to attack Invel but is immediately throttled by the Winter General, who casts doubt that his ice can crush his own.

Fans over at Reddit speculated that the former and Leon Vastia, an Ice-MakeMage, and current ace of Lamia, will collaborate to crush the Winter General. Stay tuned for more "Fairy Tail" spoilers and predictions.
