The upcoming Google Nexus 2016 is expected to sport two new variants, the Sailfish and Marlin with many new specs and features like the upcoming Android 7.0 Nougat OS, and enhanced Snapdragon chipset and graphics card.

Game N Guide reported that the new Google smartphone is expected to consist of an ambient display mode, which will help its users to get the important information on the screen without having the need to fully turn on the device.

There are also reports that the Google Nexus 2016 will also sport a Night Light Mode, reported Android Police. It is stated that the Night Light mode will enable the customers to use the device without straining their eyes too much. The users will also be allowed to set the user preference mode, which will be in their local time in sync with their work schedule.

Furthermore, the Google Nexus phone is rumored to consist of an X12 LTE modem, which will be more efficient and is expected to provide 40 percent more performance in terms of power consumption. Also, the smartphone will consist of a quad-core Kryo CPU, which will enhance its performance as compared to its predecessors.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the Nexus Marlin variant of the upcoming Google Nexus 2016 phone will be more powerful than the Nexus Sailfish. It will sport enhanced Snapdragon 821 quad-core chipset with 4 GB RAM. On the other hand, BGR reported that the Google Nexus Sailfish variant is expected to consist of a 5-inch full HD screen with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB RAM.

Both the phones will feature a 12-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front camera with 4K video recording capability. The Google Nexus 2016 device will also consist of the upcoming latest version of Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
