The colorful free-to-play strategy card game "Duelyst" will be launched on PS4, Xbox One, Steam, and mobile devices soon.
The game's developer, indie studio Counterplay Games, revealed this news to Gamespot over the weekend, along with a new trailer.
The game is currently available for PC and Mac via its own launcher, but the game will be launched on Steam very soon.
Console gamers can also experience this game on their own PS4 and Xbox One machines, and a mobile app is also in the works, according to the developer.
There is no set launch date for the new ports yet, but for those who want to see what it looks like first, "Duelyst" is completely free to play, and can be downloaded from the official "Duelyst" website.
A Steam private testing is also being conducted as of the moment. Interested players can sign up for the "Duelyst" Steam Preview via this link.
"Duelyst" is not an ordinary card game. It combines the elements of turn-based strategy games, much like "Fire Emblem," and incorporates "Hearthstone"-like collectible card mechanics.
The game visuals, much like its gameplay, is a beautiful marriage of two distinct art styles: pixel art and hand-drawn illustrations.
The game, which also received crowdfunding through Kickstarter, is spearheaded by Keith Lee, who is the Lead Producer for "Diablo III," and "Ratchet & Clank" games "Up Your Arsenal" and "Going Commando."
"Duelyst" also has a thriving game community on Reddit and Discord, and being focused on ranked competitive play, conducts weekly competitions and tournaments as well.
The game is highly rated by critics and players alike, garnering a critic score of 82 on review score aggregator Metacritic.
If you are a fan of both trading card and strategy games, then you should give "Duelyst" a try on PC and Mac first. Stay tuned for the release date for PS4, Xbox One, Steam, and mobile devices.
