Electronic Arts' highly anticipated sports game "FIFA 17" drops next month, along with a slew of new features and mechanics. Here are some new things to watch out for.

Set Piece Rewrite

The new Set Piece Rewrite in "FIFA 17" gives players the freedom to "inject personality and experience control in every dead ball situation," according to the EA Sports website.

Set pieces has always been part of "FIFA" games, but will go through a major overhaul in the next game.

"We've looked at every aspect of set pieces in the game," "FIFA 17" Lead Gameplay Producer Sam Rivera said, "free kicks, penalties, corners, throw-ins - to give players greater freedom and control in how they take them."

New styles are incorporated in the game, including fake throws, and players will now have better control of penalties, free kicks and taking corners.

Active Intelligence System

As we have covered previously, the new key feature Active Intelligence System will change the way players move, read and react, making gameplay a lot easier.

"When you are on the ball your teammates understand if you can make a pass and adjust their movement to show for you or make a new run," according to the description on the site.

Teammates will now be more perceptive to defense gaps, and can also execute fake runs to dupe the opponents. Read all about it here.

New Story Mode: The Journey

"FIFA 17" will be introducing a full blown story mode in the game for the first time ever. "The Journey" will follow the experience of Premier League's rising star Alex Hunter.

Alex's story will be influenced by the choices players will make in the game, along with his performance on the pitch. Promising to pull the players through a true-to-life experience in the Premier League, "The Journey" is an exciting addition to the game.

"FIFA 17" will be kicking off on September 27 for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
