Game creator legend Hideki Kamiya has cheekily teased his plans to make a follow up to his popular games "Bayonetta" and "Okami."
In an interview with Metro last month, Kamiya said that he has been thinking about how the people percieved the protagonist of "Bayonetta" when it first came out.
The topic of Bayonetta's haircut in the first game was brought up, to which Kamiya responded, "Then we will take that into account when we design her haircut when we start doing 3, if we ever make 3."
The declaration came as a surprise even for the representatives for Microsoft and Platinum Games.
"Of course we want to make 3," Kamiya continued. "Why should it end at 2?"
Kamiya then went on to say that he also has ideas in his head for an "Okami" sequel, as well as other "Scalebound" titles.
While these statements are seemingly said in a jokey fashion, fans would love to see a sequel to these two great games, possibly on a next-gen console like Xbox's Project Scorpio.
Speaking about his latest game, "Scalebound," Kamiya said, "I make things in games that I really like, that are kind of strong things that I want to play and I want to experience, and I'm not really concerned about making it so everybody loves it."
"I'm concerned about making the things that I feel are true to my vision," the "Resident Evil 2" director added, "because that's really what interests me about making games."
This came to light when people talked about the protagonist, Drew, being an unlikeable character because of his attitude.
"People said lots of things about [Bayonetta] when she came out," Kamiya pointed out, "and if I'd just gone and wholesale changed the way that I made video games I'd probably never arrive at anything I liked."
"Scalebound" is part of Microsoft's Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, and is slated for a 2017 release.
