Next on our "Pokémon GO' guide, we discuss more ways on how to catch rarer Pokémon.
Some Pokémon are particularly difficult to catch, depending on your area. There are specific mons which are common in one country but are rarely spotted elsewhere. Today we will be focusing on what we call Regional Rares.
Western European Rare: Mr. Mime
Psychic/Fairy type Pokémon Mr. Mime is really rare in North America, but they are everywhere in Western Europe, and is commonly spotted in city centres like London, according to Eurogamer.
North American Rare: Tauros
Normal type bull-like Pokémon Tauros is common in North America, with some being spotted in desert-like areas. However, other regions are having difficulties spotting the creature.
Australasian Rare: Kangaskhan
Normal type Pokémon Kangaskhan looks like a kangaroo, so it's not surprising that it is fairly common in Australia. Some Pokémon players in New Zealand also said that Kangaskhan is also pretty common in their country, appearing in cities and parks.
Kangaskhan is the strongest Pokémon among the regional rares, according to Writer Party.
Asian Rare: Farfetch'd
The leek-holding normal/flying type Pokémon Farfetch'd is really difficult to find, except if you're in Asia. Farfetch'd is popping up everywhere in South Korea and Japan, particularly in parks and city centres.
How To Get The Regional Rares Not Available In Your Area
Before hastily booking your next flight to Japan for that Farfetch'd, take note that while it is difficult to find these regional rares in the wild, these can still be obtained through 5K eggs. They are rarer compared to the Squirtles and the Pidgeys but it is still possible to get these mons from hatching.
The good news is these four Pokémon do not have any evolutions, which means you really don't need to farm for their candy. Just get one from the 5K eggs and you're all set.
