Catching em' all isn't all that possible yet with several countries like China due to the unreleased "Pokémon GO" in certain countries. In case you want something to kill time with while waiting for the official release, then "City Spirit Go" might be a good option.

"Pokémon Go" was undeniably an extremely great success, which might have already possibly surpassed mobile games of yesterday like "Angry Birds" or "Candy Crush." Following the same suit, the creature-catching game inspired not just aspiring trainers, but also shameless clones and different qualities.

One that stands out among the rest is "City Spirit Go."

As "Pokémon Go" isn't available in China as of yet, developer Xiaoyu Sun released the game with the intent of bringing an alternative for "Pokémon GO." The quality and the accuracy of the likeness of the game may be questionable for some, but it does have the same core mechanics.

"City Spirit Go," like "Pokémon GO," is a game about catching creatures by traveling to certain locations on the players' vicinity.

As shown in the video above, the game has a strikingly similarity with "Pokémon GO" in terms of the starting point, selection of avatars and even the starting types. Evolutions also takes place.

However, unlike "Pokémon GO," battles are automated and there's no Augmented-Reality (AR) involved. It plays out more of a standard Android MMORPG on mobile.

The game is currently availble in China only so for those who actually are curious and want to try out the game, they may need to wait for it to be localized first.

Other countries are also inspired by "Pokémon GO" and even created their own unique game in the same vein of Niantic's viral mobile game.

One good example of this is Russia's "Explore Moscow. Photo." Instead of catching creatures, players are to take photos of famous Russians, not to battle with each other.

According to the developers, this is about drawing attention to the rich cultural heritage of Moscow and to give their citizens a reason to explore more than they usually do.

There are also a huge number of clones on Google Playstore and iOS Appstore right now for "Pokémon GO," but very few actually meet the expectations, ending up with scathing reviews.
