"Descendants of the Sun" stars Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki, have once again caught themselves in dating rumors. Now, several reports claimed that the reason behind why the 32-year-old actress is hesitant to date Song Joong Ki is a result of her past experience with ex-boyfriend Lee Byung Hun.
Song Hye Kyo and Lee Byung Hun began dating in 2003 while they were filming SBS's action drama "All In." The duo announced their break-up in 2004, creating much media attention and gossip.
According to Inquisitr, Lee Byung Hun pinned the blame on Song Hye Kyo, claiming that the former's mother wanted them to tie the wedding knots in the fall of 2004, but the latter wanted to focus on her career. The duo's different perspectives on marriage apparently led to a break-up.
Song Hye Kyo's bittersweet relationship has taught her a thing or two. First, being in love allows her to experience much more emotions and life experiences. Further, the actress pledged to herself never to be romantically involved with a pretty boy again. Song Joong Ki happens to be a pretty boy too.
"Never to fall for a pretty boy again!," Popular Asians quoted Song Hye Kyo as she proclaimed her new take on love. "When I was younger, I liked guys who had a good personality and decent looks. However, my perceptions have vastly changed now. With more and more stress from work, at times I really do hope to have someone I can lean upon."
The "Full House" actress preceded to say that it would be great to have someone she can rely on during the most tired moments. The best is if that someone will hear her stories out when she is stressed.
Recently, Song Hye Kyo has been constantly linked with her "Descendants of the Sun" co-star Song Joong Ki. However, much to the disappointment of fans worldwide, both Hallyu stars have denied their supposed brewing romance, stating that they are just professional buddies and nothing more.
The dating rumors began after it was reported that Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki was wearing a supposed couple bracelets, driving fans to speculate that the on-screen couple has taken their relationship to a whole new level. Further, both stars were spotted having dinner together in a restaurant in New York City.
"Isn't it funny that we couldn't eat together because of scandal worries despite Song Joong Ki going all the way there, and when we are friends who have worked on a project together for six months?" Soompi quoted the actress during "Descendants of the Sun" press conference on April 20, putting an end to the dating rumors swirling them.
